Let the number be XY

Now reversing the number , we will get YX

reversed number is 9 less than three times original number

YX= 3XY - 9

difference of these two numbers is 45 i.e.

YX = XY +45

now put the value of YX from second equation in the first equation. we will get

XY +45 = 3XY -9

XY = 27
