“Oh, well, then I’ll say goodbye to you, Lion. I want a master who is stronger than anyone on earth!”
And off the Dog went to join the man and he stayed with him and served him faithfully. This happened long, long ago, but to this day the dog is man’s most loyal servant and knows no other master.

1. The dog said goodbye to the lion. He said so because the lion was a master who was not strong enough for the dog.

2. Man was finally the master of Dogs.

3. The lesson here is that as the saying goes "A dog is a man's best friend," dogs will not find any master worthier than man and man too should respect his loyal servant.

Explanation:

I'm not so sure about the third answer.
