thanks!

Step-by-step explanation:

let the sides be 12x, 17x, and 25x respectively.

their sum is 540.

now, we can frame an equation: 12x + 17x + 25x = 540cm

refer attachment for solving the rest.

Given :-

  • Ratio of sides = 12 : 17 : 25
  • Perimeter = 540 cm

To find :-

  • Area

Solution :-

First of all, find the sides of triangle

Let the sides be 12x , 17x , 25x

As we know Perimeter = Sum of all sides

→ 12x + 17x + 25x = 540 cm

→ 54x = 540 cm

→ x = 10 cm

if, x = 10 then,

  • 12x = 12 × 10 = 120 cm
  • 17x = 17 × 10 = 170 cm
  • 25x = 25 × 10 = 250 cm

Now, to find it's area using heron's formula :-

Area »

  • ( 120 + 170 + 250 ) / 2
  • 540 / 2
  • 270 ( it's semi perimeter )

→ √ 270 ( 270 - 120 ) ( 270 - 170 ) ( 270 - 250 )

→ √ 270 × 150 × 100 × 200

→ √ 81000000

→ 9000

Answer :- 9000 cm²
