Answer:

Let the smaller odd number be x ,then the next consecutive odd number will be x+2

(Consecutive odd numbers differ by 2)

Then according to the question,

x+x+2=56

2x=56−2=54

x=27

x+2=29

The numbers are 27 and 29.

Let the two consecutive numbers be x and x + 2

 =  > x + x + 2 = 56 \\  =  > 2x = 56 - 2 \\  =  > 2x = 54 \\  =  > x =  \frac{54}{2 }  \\  =  > x = 27 \\  =  > x + 2 = 27 + 2 = 29

Therefore the numbers are 27 and 29.
