Explanation:
Whitman is considered the father of free-verse poetry. But he was much more than that. He introduced readers to previously forbidden topics -- sexuality, the human body and its functions -- and incorporated unusual themes, such as debris, straw and leaves, into his work.
Answer: The poet exalts the carefree pleasure of travelling, encouraging others to break free from their stifling domestic attachment to join him. He describes himself as being " free", and he realizes he is tye only person who is in complete control of his life; he chooses his owm destiny. Because of this realisation, he doesn't have to wish or hope or pray for good fortune. The journeyman is "free " for he is done with the routines, customs and safe behaviour of his previous life.
