III Using the question words given in the brackets, frame question to the following

sentences:

1. Vijay wants to see your father. (whom)

2. The shops open at 10 a.m. (when)

3. He drives the car carefully. (how)

1. Whom does Vijay want to see ?
2. When does the shop open ?
3. How does he drive the car ?

In the given sentences we have used all the Questioning terms at the beginning as the sentence as they make a sense when added at the beginning .

How is Question formation different from Question tag ?

In Question formation we form Questions on any basis like :

• Subject
• Object
• Way of work
• Time
• Place
• Etc.

Examples :

She is Reena , she is walking at the park .

- Who is she ?

- What is she doing ?

- Where is she ?

But in Question tag we just use auxiliaries to form the questions.

Like :

• Am
• Is
• Are
• Was
• Were
• Do
• Does
• Did
• Has
• Have
• Should
• Would
• Could

Examples :

She can talk

- She can talk , can't she ?
