total energy is always additive in nature both in series and parallel.....

U= 1/2 CV^2

= 1/2 V^2 ( C1+ C2+ .....Cn)

so U total= U1 + U2 + ..........Un

where 1 ,2,....n are their subscripts which shows their respective numbers

Solution :-

The equivalent capacitance of n indentical capacitors C is equal to nC Energy stored in this capacitor

E = 1/2(nC)V² = 1/2nCV²

Alternatively : Each capacitor has a potential difference of v between the plates

so energy stored in each capacitor = 1/2CV²

° Energy stored in m capacitor = [1/2Cv²]n

Answer :- [1/2CV²]×n
