Mass was earlier considered to be the amount of matter in a body which was laster changed with the inertia of a body, but even if we consider the amount of matter to be mass, the amount of matter is still as constant as it doesn't change from place to place

As we know the gravitational force keeps changing from place to place. Thus weight keeps varying

Whereas the inertia of the body doesn't change and is a constant, so the mass is constant no matter where we go ..
