Answer :-

Let the number of apples A have be A and B have be B.

If B gives 30 mangoes to A, A will have twice as many left with B :-

→ 2(B - 30) = A + 30

→ 2B - 60 = A + 30

→ 2B - A = 90 -i

If A gives 10 mangoes to B, B will have thrice as many left with A :-

→ 3(A - 10) = B + 10

→ 3A - 30 = B + 10

→ 3A - 30 - B - 10 = 0

→ 3A - B = 40 -ii

Multiplying equation ii by 2 :-

→ 2 (3A - B = 40)

→ 6A - 2B = 80 -iii

Adding equation i and iii :-

→ 2B - A + 6A - 2B = 90 + 80

→ 5A = 170

→ A = 170 / 5

→ A = 34

Substituting the value of A in equation i :-

→ 2B - 34 = 90

→ 2B = 90 + 34

→ B = 124 / 2

→ B = 62

Number of apples A has = 34

Number of apples B has = 62
