Mitochondria - Turning on the Powerhouse. Mitochondria are known as the powerhouses of the cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system which takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy rich molecules for the cell.

It's PLASTIDS, this organelle is found in plant cells and is similar to mitochondria, as it has its own DNA and RIBOSOMES, which help it in self replication and protein synthesis....

PLASTIDS are of 3 types:
Chloroplast, leucoplast and chromoplast.
It helps in photosynthesis, food storage and is responsible for colour of plants.....
