From 2010 to 2016 the share of the population age 25 to 64 with a bachelor’s degree increased from 30 to 34 percent, an increase of more than 100,000 people. According to data from the American Community Survey, as Oregon’s population of working age adults (25 to 64) increased by 4 percent from 2010 to 2016 the population of working age adults with a 4-year college degree increased by an impressive 16%. Almost all of the net increase in Oregon’s workforce is represented by college graduates, as there was no growth in the number of working age adults with less than a 4-year college degree.
