take a stand and the threads which you want to test. also take different weights. now tie one end of the cotton thread to the stand and the other to the smallest weight. if it breaks note the weight. if it does'nt check for the larger one. keep doing this for all the threads. the thread which holds the heaviest weight is the strongest. also nylon threads are used for making parachutes which take up immense air pressure but do not brake. thus by the above activity and example we can say that a nylon thread is stronger than cotton, wool and steel thread.
