Answer:

Explanation:

The Battle of Kanwah was fought between Rana Sangram Singh of Mewar and the founder of Mughal dynasty Babur in 1527 A.D. at Kanwah near Agra.

Causes

Rana united the warring clans of Rajputana and formed a strong empire after nearly 300 years. The Rana extended the boundaries of his empire through war and diplomacy. He defeated Ibrahim Lodhi in the battles of Dholpur and Khatoli with the assistance of Babur.

Rana wanted to control the Delhi Sultanate and thought that Babur would seize the treasures of Delhi and head back to his native land after the war. But he was proved wrong as Babur too wanted to establish the Mughal empire in India. This led to the Battle of Kanwah.

Result

With the defeat of Rajput`s in the battle of Kanwah , the Mughals successfully established their supremacy in India. The defeat led to the downfall of the Afghan power as well as it ended the supremacy of the Rajputana clan.

Hope this helps.
