There are a number of instances which depict lack of democracy within a political party.

In many cases we see the head of the political parties being selected without any voting and the post generally goes to the relative of the present head.

The selection of people for other posts is also at times not democratic.

Hi there,

Following are the situational points where the lack of internal democracy is depicted within a political party;

  • The internal party does not keep a track of its registered members.
  • Regular meetings are not held so the party isn't on the same page.
  • Internal elections are as important but they are not given much importance.
  • The leaders of the party keep themselves at the top, therefore bad blood is created among the party members that can potentially destroy the party.

I hope the answer is helpful.

Thanks for asking.
