1. All over the world, there is a tendency of political parties towards the concentration of power in one or few leaders at the top.

2. Parties do not keep membership register.

3. They do not regularly hold organisational meetings.

4. They do not conduct interval elections regularly.

5. Ordinary members of the party do not have sufficient information as to what happens inside the party

As a result, the leaders assume greater power to make decision in the name of party

Following are the situational points where the lack of internal democracy is depicted within a political party;

The internal party does not keep a track of its registered members.

Regular meetings are not held so the party isn't on the same page.

Internal elections are as important but they are not given much importance.

The leaders of the party keep themselves at the top, therefore bad blood is created among the party members that can potentially destroy the party.
