the extreme climates are also called CONTINENTAL CLIMATE.
this climate is present at places where ther is no large water body nearby.
example : DELHI.

the equable climates are also called MARINETIME CLIMATE .
this climate is present at places where there is a largw waterbody such as an ocean nearby.
example: MUMBAI.

places with extreme climate have hot summer n cold winter.

whereas...

there is not much vadiation in tempearatures in places with equable climate .
