They are the bad conductors of heat and electricity

• Nitrogen in the form of fertilizer is essential for the growth and development of seeds and plants.
• phosphorus is used in matchbox industry and in fertilizers
• iodine is used as an antiseptic.
• sulphur is used for making crackers and sulfuric acid.
• oxygen is essential for the survival of all living beings .
• diamond in the form of carbon is used in making jewellery is in cutting glass and for grinding the tools.
• graphite also form of carbon is used in batteries and in pencils.
