As you asked for some tips regarding finalization the dress code, food & beverages for your party on May 31, 2019, my suggestions are as follows:

1. Since it is an informal party, you should allow your friends to wear casuals. If anyone wishes to attend the party in formals, they can.

2. Concerning food, you can go for snacks followed by proper dinner.  

3. Concerning beverages, I feel there should be cold drinks or some other soft drinks during the snacks.

You should also take your parents’ advice in this matter. I will reach the venue in time.
