Imagine a planet having life as earth .... and we can watch it through a very very powerful telescope .The speed of light is 10 light years. What will you see in that planet past,present or future?

We can calculate it if you provide the distance of that planet from Earth. Then we may divide it with the speed of light. That will give us the time taken by light to reach us from that planet. We will thus be able to see the activity on that planet which occurred X time ago, where x is the time taken by light to reach us.

The speed of light is 3*10^8 but since u have given us the distance.. it doest really matter here... so, given that the distance between earth and the planet is 10 light years.. it means that light will take a perfect 10 years to reach earth from the planet..

lets say its year x on that planet.. which means, if you use the telescope, you'll be able to see whatever was happening in the year x-10 on that planet..
