Imagine a situation where labour is the scarce factor of production instead of land. Would the story of Rampur be different? How? Discuss in class.

If the labor is in short of land, the story of Rampur will be totally different. There would be increase in demand for labours. Once you acquire land, the next big thing you would need is the labour to work in farms to put the efforts.

Generally, small farmers will not hire labours instead does the work by themselves. Medium to big farmers will hire labours to work in fields. If there is shortage of labour supply then, the farmers who depend on labours would fall into troubles.
