1-Yes,the ball will move.But the condition is, any force have to be applied on it. If there is no friction the ball will continue to move forever.

2-As according the first law of motion , an object cannot move unless a force is applied to it.So, the ball needs a force applied to it to move forward or backward.

3-Yes the ball will stop at one point because of friction. But if the friction is removed from the surface , the ball can be made to move forever.

4-The ball can be stopped by the following situations-

#Due to the presence of friction.

#If any obstacles comes in the way of the ball , it will stop moving.

#If any other opposite force is applied to the ball, then also the ball will stop moving.
