Dear Diary:
What a stressful day I had! However, I am very happy toady as we successfully assassinated Julius Caesar. It was not easy to overpower Caesar. He was so strong physically; Cassius’s plan of using Marcus Brutus worked well; it was after his stabbing that Caesar fell! I think he had not expected Brutus would cheat him thus. The conspirators praised me so much for my part. They said I would be given a special ministry in the new government for my work. As we had feared, Caesar had decided not to come to Senate House today because of the ill omens and Calpurnia’s request. I really had to work hard to convince him to come to the Senate House. I am proud of my imagination. I gave him the lure of the crown. How cleverly and convincingly I misinterpreted Calpurnia’s dream. It was foolish on Caesar’s part to have not believed his wife’s love for him. In spite of my success, I fear that something bad is going to happen to all the conspirators. We have done a wrong deed by assassinating him. Good night, diary.
