Friction is a dissipative force responsible for inhibiting the relative motion between two surfaces in contact.

Now, if friction disappears from Earth, it will be become a dangerous event because of the following reason:

  • Friction provides retarding force to moving object as a result of which they come to rest.

  • In absence of friction, the moving objects will tend to move for eternal time periods and will not come to rest.

  • We will not even be able to do our normal daily activities e.g, Picking up objects, holding a glass , etc.

  • We would not be able to walk, run,etc and will inevitably slip down.

  • We will not be able to write on paper/blackboards using chalks, pencils, etc.

Hope It Helps.
