It's Christmas today, but the town looks lifeless with no sign of festivity. What importance can festivals hold when nations are mad with enmity and people with brutal rage. I can see the church where I went with my parents for Christmas Mass. Today, even Jesus would be grieved to see that his blood which he shed for benefit of mankind has been rendered futile by the followers of war. My did has gone on war and mother is no more. How am I going to cope with her loss? This is the worst Christmas I've ever had. Oh God! Building from scratch now, how am I going to manage as here neither our house is there nor my father to guide me. I ask you to give me courage and strength to recover and start my life on my own.

Its Christmas today, but the town looks changed. Everything has changed. The buildings, the houses, the shops that were standing a year back have no traces now. Instead there is only debris, rocks and soil. I can't find my family, my neighbours, my friends. Have they become the prey of this war? Today, on Christmas, I have no one to share my happiness. My family, my wife, my son is dead. The war destroys not only the families, religion, society but also humanity. Man has become so mean that he finds no importance to life in front of his profits and selfishness. Why do we have wars?
