That depends solely on what's on the other planet. Once we can get out of our own solar system in a reasonable time frame, I see no reason to bother even looking at another planet that doesn't have living creatures on it with the exception of intelligent creatures. They may get upset. We would have to work something out or move on.
Since terraforming is even a bigger task than designing an interstellar drive why bother?.
If interstellar drives are impossible than we basically need everything to colonize Mars. We can colonize Venus much easier but it would be a very different living among the clouds of Venus. A lot less work setting it up versus Mars. Much more limited once it's set up.
