A political map
The topographic map shows features such as elevation, deflation, water sources etc which are geographic features.
Political map shows borders, major cities and man made features.
Thematic maps are based on a theme. They may be population, population density etc.
Physical map is much like topo map. It shows forests, hills, trails, water bodies. But it does not show elevation and deflation.
