In 1730 the earliest factory was established in England, later in the 18th century the number of factories in the region increased. The production of cotton in the 19th century started booming, and merchants began trading during this time with the rural community. A large amount of cotton was imported to Britain to accommodate the cotton industry, which had more than 22 million pounds. the increase was as a result of the invention of machines and new management that led to improved quality production and faster production
