Hi Mary,
Hope this letter of mine finds you in good health. As I had told you in our telephonic conversation, I went to play shuttlecock tournament in Delhi. We won the first prize in the doubles segment. Our school was really very proud of us. What I wanted to share with you was, I was really lost in that ocean of people.
I did not understand their language; the food was not my cup of tea either. Besides everything is highly mechanical and fast. I think this is the bane of city life, but for people who are city-bred, they are very comfortable.
For people like me, it was like a fish out of a pond. I would be happy if I had played in my hometown.
But one thing that I would really like to share with you is that the people were all very warm and welcoming. They were very caring and made us feel comfortable. Their hospitality was excellent.
