Answer:

Buddhism and Peace in the World

Teachings of Buddha are the need of the hour. He was a master whose enlightened soul attained Nirvana and saw the world thorough divine eyes. He gave the world teachings that are sufficient to make the world into a paradise of peace, prosperity, and elation.

Buddha taught the world these principles: law of cause and effect, truth of end of suffering, noble midway, avoid killing, avoid misconduct, and many more.

I would like to adopt the following four principles of Buddhism and encourage people to adopt these principles to prevent war and promote peace and harmony:

1. The principle of avoid killing.

2. The principle of avoid misconduct.

3. The principle of adopting the noble way.

4. The principle of ending suffering through truth.

Explanation:

The principles of Buddhism would be of great help to prevent war among nations and restore peace and harmony in today's world. Buddhism mentions the existence of suffering (dukkha) that is we have to suffer pain in order to know truth, and there is the cause of suffering namely craving and attatchment.

The eight fold path of right views, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration leads to the cessation of suffering which is "nirvana". Every individual has his own definition of nirvana. By adopting all such noble principles we can certainly avoid war and restore peace.
