Imagine you are a newspaper reporter and you are reporting on the ongoing excavations at the Harrapan site of Rakhigarhi, Haryana. Your editor has given you the assignment of covering the various discoveries being made at the site. Write a newspaper article describing the manner in which the excavations are being undertaken, artefacts being discovered and the information that is being generated regarding the site and the Indus Valley civilization. Guidelines: A) The word limit for the article is 300- 400 words. B) Catchy Headline (page center) C) Byline- Your name, Chief Reporter (under the headline in one line) D) Para 1 : Place line and date line-Noida, 16th August, 2020 E) Para 2 : (How and Why) F) Para 3 : (Future course of action i.e. are more excavations going to take place? What will happen to the artefacts that are being discovered and so forth) G) Paras 1 and 2 will be written using past tense. Only Para 3 which talks about future course of action will be written using future tense. H) The article should mention the person/university/organization undertaking the excavation. I) Your article can choose to talk about the excavation, or you can focus on an interesting discovery such as pottery, beads etc. J) The article should be handwritten and uploaded as a scan.
