Report on interview about peasant interviewed about Indigo Commision:
As a peasant, I find it is important to spread the importance of the Indigo Commission. Against the injustice of the Indigo Planters from Europe, a commission was formed. When riots broke out amongst the Bengal and European planters, the government was forced to form a commission.
This commission analysed the situations and submitted the report in favour of Bengal planters. In the report, it was mentioned that there were repression and illegal activities. But the commission could not go against the British Government. So, the commission advised the government to stop intervening in Indigo plantation any further as it might worsen the situation.
