I am a large banyan tree standing outside the house of the village head. Every day, the village head come to me for offering water and sometimes also for prayers along with his whole family. I feel quite good when people come to me for paying respect for my services.

But when some people try to cut my branches or leaves, it feels a little pain. There are also some others who do not respect me at times by throwing certain chemicals at my roots. But most people like me and that is why I am also grateful to them.We, trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe back oxygen without which humans cannot survive. We never hurt others. We serve as a shelter to homeless and provide shadow for them. We create cold and humid atmosphere required for rain.

We provide food to all livings, especially to poor and needy. Cutting us down may lead to scarcity of food. We are living things too. But, humans take our lives by cutting us down. We are here to serve you better for irrigation, food, shelter, etc. Stop cutting us and let us live our lives too.
