There are few words to describe what I am feeling; it is exhilarating – this sense of inhabiting the infinite. It is my first week away from Earth. For the last five days, instead of having my feet securely planted on the Earth, I have been floating in an endless abyss of light, dust and darkness.
It is even more beautiful than I had thought it will be. Beyond the orbit of Earth’s gravitational force, time and distance seem to lose meaning. The Earth from the outside is just an orb of blue, as mysterious as these other gaseous balls that we are passing by on this incredible journey.
