Imagine you are Anand/ Anandita a resident of 275 Arun Vihar, Noida. Every year
during Diwali, many pet dogs run away as the crackers frighten them. Old people,
infants and sick people also suffer due to noise and air pollution. Write a letter to the
Editor of The Times of India, giving your ideas on this subject.

Subject:  Harmed caused due to crackers

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily I ( name) would like to draw attention of people to the harm that  is being caused due to crackers.

Diwali is a festival to celebrate, not to cause harm to people or animals. Due to the burning of crackers many old aged people are getting severely disturbed and sometimes they get heart attacks too. Many stray dogs, cats etc get shaken due to the noise caused by crackers. There are many other ways to celebrate Diwali which people can use without causing pollution.

Therefore I request you to look into the matter and make people aware of the harms caused by the burning of crackers. I hope together we can make a difference

Yours sincerely,
