Dear diary,
Today was the day. I killed Caesar today. A few days later I didn’t have the shade of an idea that I would kill my friend Caesar. But when Cassius and the others told me about the conspiracy, I thought it was a good idea. I remember Caesar’s last words, “Et tu Brute, then fall Caesar”. I know Caesar loves me dearly and so did I. I killed Caesar not because I didn’t love him, but, because I loved Rome more. My love for Rome is much greater than my love for a single man. I believe that in Caesar was becoming ambitious and that under his reign every Roman would live as a slave. Now, I want to be Caesar. I know how I’m going to achieve my dream. I will address the plebeians and justify Caesar’S death by both his virtues and ill deeds. I hope that I get successful. It is very late now and I think I should go to sleep.
