There are several places to visit in Jaipur so plan at least a week's stay. I am mentioning some of the must-see places. The Hawa Mahal is a beautiful Pink/red sandstone palace called 'Palace of the Winds'. Jantar Mantar is a 18th-century park & heritage site with fixed instruments for making astronomical observations. Jal Mahal is a historic palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake and is made of red sandstone, most of it submerged. You cannot miss Amer fort which is a 16th-century hilltop fort & palace. The Sheesh Mahal is a wonder contructe in glass. The Albert Hall Museum is a museum in Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. It is the oldest museum of the state and functions as the State museum of Rajasthan. The Birla Mandir is a grand Hindu temple is located on an elevated ground at the base of Moti Dungari hill and is made of white marble. In addition, there is the city palace museum, wax museum, Dolls museum and several forts e.g.Nahargarh fort, Jaigarh fort etc.

  You can stay in 3,4,5 star hotels or in budget hotels depending on your budget for the trip. Le meridian is a grand palatial hotel in Kukas, Jaipur. And there is virtually no limit to what you can buy here. Cotton sarees, dress materials with the famous 'bandhani' designs and mirror work, ladies' and gents' kurtas, silver jewellery, lac and metal bangles, puppets, marble statues and show-pieces, mouth-watering sweets and kachoris....you have a wide choice of things to buy here.
