Answer:

I would rewrite the ending of Jane Eyre:

Rochester sunk into a depression episode after Jane left. Ms. Blanche Ingram came to visit again. She had always been smart and articulate, Rochester was able to get better with her accompany. Ingram eventually discovered Rochester's wife, Bertha. She arranged to send her to a better place, a small cottage, with access to a yard and fresh air. She also hired doctors and orderlies to help Bertha. While there's very little anyone could do (since psychiatry wasn't a thing for another 200 years), some opium always helped her feel better and calmer.

Ingram eventually married Rochester, adopted Adele, forced Rochester to recognize her as his own daughter. She knew what kind of man Rochester was, but she saw the benefit of combining wealth of the two families. Mrs. Blanche Ingram Rochester was very determined to manage the household, her brooding good for nothing husband, and his wealth, the way she saw fit.

Rochester inevitably cheated on his wife with various nannies, governess, or servant girls. But Blanche didn't care. She never loved him. She had a few lovers of her own. The couple slept in separate rooms a few months after the wedding.

Jane Eyre eventually refused to marry Rivers and came back with her inheritance money, only to see a renovated Thornfield Hall, and a new mistress. The couple received Jane coldly. Rochester, now drunk and fat, could barely remember Jane.

Jane realized what kind of person Rochester really was, left Thornfield Hall and never return. She used her heritage money to start a school for underprivileged girls, treated them well. She eventually married the school doctor, the two lived happily ever after with many children.

Answer: For the book Percy Jackson and the last Olympian, by Rick Riordan, Luke dies in the end. Instead of him dying, I would write about him living (without Kronos taking over his body) at Camp Half - Blood peacefully.

or in Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, I would write how Sirius Black would live at Grimmauld place and have a place in the wizarding community with Harry rather than having him die.
