Explanation:

  • First, if we dig the earth, we can see rock, soil, mud, dirt, and water.
  • The next layer is called crust which is made up of lighter rocks. It is 35 km thick and it has 1 percent of earth mass.
  • The next deep layer is called mantle which is made up of hard rocks, the largest region of the planet, 82% of its volume and 65% of its mass. It has extreme pressure and becomes colder than the rocks. These layers are like slabs due to which most earthquakes occur. The movement of these slabs causes the earthquake. This layer has oxygen, silicon, magnesium, and iron.
  • If you dig deeper their temperature goes as high as thousand degrees that not any material could withstand. It is 2890 km deep and has 27% of earth mass.
  • If we descend for eight minutes we can see the shocking sea of liquid metal which is about 5000 degrees hot.
  • The last layer is the crystal core of dense ball made of iron and nickel which is as hot as the sun. It has 2%of earth’s mass and the pressure is million times as that of the earth’s surface.
