Dear Diary,

3rd May 2021

I am proud of being an Irula and a son of the famous snake-catcher. When I begin going to school, I was mocked and looked down on by my fellow mates because I am an Irula and son of a snake-catcher.

But things changed when one day a rat snake entered our class. Everyone in the class was afraid of the snake but, I, a son of the snake catcher, knew how to catch a snake. So, I caught it and became a hero of my class. Even my teachers appreciated me for my bravery and act.

The day, finally, came in my life when people's attitude towards me changed in the school.
