As we know king Ashoka adopted Nonviolence after the kalinga war...he was depressed seeing a lot of dead bodies of the people who died or were killed in the war.......the conversation between lord Buddha and Ashoka would have been like this........……………… Ashoka: (greeted lord Buddha....)............... Lord Buddha:( replied to his greetings).......................... Ashoka: Lord I am very depressed after killing so much people in the kalinga war...................please!! guide me how to penance for what I have done....................................... Lord Buddha: Do you really want to leave all this and start a simple and dedicated life????.....….............................................. Ashoka: Yes Lord !! I agree ............................….................. Lord Buddha: Okay then, I will guide you but remember I'll only guide you.. but..you have to walk on your path by your own and from today you are my disciple , and now it is a beginning of your new life................…...…………….......................................... Ashoka: yes sure!! I have dedicated my life to the people... Lord Buddha: God Bless You Son!!................. Ashoka: Thank you lord for your guidance. I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to adopt Buddhism under your guidance...

Ashoka : Hello Lord Buddha

Buddha : yes my son!

Ashoka : Im a buddhist and i would like to ask something about buddhism to you.

Buddha : yeah you may proceed my son!

Ashoka : what are the teachings of buddhism.

Buddha : Nothing is permanent, everything changes.

Ashoka : Whats the law of cause and effect?

Buddha : The law of cause and effect is known as karma.Every single incident that happens is the fruit of the seed sown by you.You deserve your belongings.

"The kind of seed sown
will produce that kind of fruit.
Those who do good will reap good results.
Those who do evil will reap evil results.
If you carefully plant a good seed,
You will joyfully gather good fruit."

Ashoka : Oh so as i keep killing people by means of war is that i might be killed by someone? will i not get a place in heaven.

Buddha : Good deeds sometimes may be bad.But the reason that you do it matters.Killing life is indeed an bad character.

Ashoka : Sir,Is there any way to
conquer lands without sheding blood?

Buddha : Love is the only way to conquer the hearts of people. This of what buddhism is all about. The four nobel truth will make you understand better about life and sufferings.

1.The truth of suffering

2. The truth of the cause of suffering.
3.The truth of the end of suffering
4.The truth of the path that frees us from suffering

Ashoka :Thanks a lot lord.It was happy talking to you.
