Dear ______,
I hope this letter finds you in cheer happiness. I think everything is going pretty well there. My condition in the workhouse is too bad. We are made to work and left with little gruel which we eat fully without even leaving a drop of it left in the bowl, if it's left that too we lick with our hunger. I don't feel anything is going well here. Here the policy they follow is " What do you want...? To starve quickly outside or to starve slowly here...?" I'm quite uncomfortable here. The main problem which am facing is with that tall big boy. He needs more gruel but he doesn't ask for himself. He makes us do that and says that if we don't do so he may have to eat the boy sleeping next to him. Don't know what will happen if it goes like this. Last days I was the one who was made to ask for gruel. When I hesitantly did so the man who was serving the gruel shouted at me and lift me and threw me. That was so horrible. We are going to have one meeting tomorrow to decide what they are gonna do with me...... Hoping that everything goes well....
