Imagine you are participating in a bicycle race. At first, the route takes you on a paved, flat road
at a steady pace. Next, you cycle over rough and hilly slopes and then move downhill. Write a
diary entry on how your body adjusted its breathing rates based on your level of activity during
the race.

date, day

Dear Diary,

Remember I had given my name for a cycle race? Today was the day for it. At first I thought that it would be a piece of cake but I was wrong. First we were cycling on a paved, flat road. I was moving at a steady pace because I was taking it as a normal cycling routine more than a race. But slowly I saw that the people who were earlier far back from me were crossing me! so I started paddling faster. Soon we were all cycling on rough and hilly slopes. I had a miserable time cycling up the steep slopes. But going down was relaxing. It seemed as if i were loosing my breath. but it was alright when we got down. I didn't win but i was happy to have such a good, tiring and breathless exercise! Now i am looking forward to sleep the rest of the day.

Yours (name)

hope this helps...
