We can know that the Lost child was a natural lover because he was initially fascinated by the flowering mustard field, dragonfly little insect and worm bees and butterflies on the way to the fair. ... be it a child or adult nature appears to all. In the story the child was a lover of the nature.

It seems that the child would have eventually found his parents with the help of the man. The man would have managed to calm him down. He was reliable and good-natured as is evident in the story in the many ways in which he tried to help the child.
