As I lay on my bed listening to the sound of rain , a memory long buried in my mind came back to focus . I couldn't remember much of it since i was only 6 years old at that time , but I could still remember the fun I had with my friends before we all parted ways . I along with Asha and keerthy were playing in our usual school playground area , when a sudden notice interrupted our giggles. Asha , the agitated one in our group got irritated and turned towards the source of this noice with an angry glare . But she stopped short and started smiling when she saw who it was . It was her parents who had come to India to meet their daughter from Singapore . When she asked them what they were doing here and why they didn't inform their arrival , they just smiled and asked me and keerthy to also join them . Me being me refused them offer but I was obliged to go when they requested with a bright hopeful smile . We went to a fun centre and we played there for almost all the day and ate pulse for lunch and fried paneer for dinner . Asha was talking to her parents as I and keerthy were coming back after a second round of playing . Asha has tears in her eyes . I couldn't understand why the tomboy in our group was crying . When I asked her the reason behind her tears she told me that her parents have got a new job in Seattle and hence want to shift there along with her . She then went away with her parents without even saying a final goodbye . But behind those tears I knew she was happy , so too though a little sad was happy for her . As I sit by my bed with a book in my lap I cannot help but think about the only good friend I have ever had .
