Deserts are actually very dry places that receive very little or no rainfall it is estimated that a desert receives an annual rainfall of less that 300mm per year .there are different types of deserts ;there are cold deserts and warm deserts .cold deserts  are very cold deserts mostly in the polar regions .here the temperatures are very cold and goes below zero degree .hot deserts are deserts that are extreemly hot ,temperatures here are very high and the night temperatures are very cold .hot desert just like the cold deserts have scanty vegetation infact some some deserts do not have plants completely

deserts experience very mild wild wind ,the winds here are very strong because there are no barriers like trees
