Mother's Day
I do not usually believe in any particular day as Mother's Day . My mother knows me clearly and she in return does not expect any surprises from me.
However, I woke up in the morning, scrolled on to the whatsapp status updates and found that all my friends had put up photos with their mother on whatsapp on occasion of Mother's Day. However,I went back to sleep.
In the afternoon, when i got fresh after a bath, i again sat with my phone, opened my facebook account and saw my pictures along with my mother with the wish “Happy Mother's Day".
Who had uploaded the pictures? My Mother herself. In a way she was wishing me mother's day. As if i was her mother. I laughed and felt so good. Not because she had uploaded pictures on Mother's day but because she had finally learnt to upload pictures and Tag people on facebook. (P.S She joined facebook 2 months ago) .
I called up my mother and asked her of the facebook posts. She sweetly exclaimed that all the people in her friend list(Her friend list comprises of my friends mostly) were uploading pictures on Mother's Day with their mother and i did not so she did that on my behalf. That was the sweetest thing i had heard.
I then planned something special for her. I called up a local bakery shop in my honetown and ordered for her a cake. In the evening when the cake got delivered she called me up and inquired if that cake was wrongfully delivered at our house.(P. S I told you that she does not expect any surprises from my end) .
I told her that, the cake was my gift to her on mother's day. She could not believe at first and soon there were tears in her eyes(Typical Indian mother) but her voice on phone was enough for me to understand her happiness.I made a video call. She cut the cake. All teary eyed.
Later on i uploaded her photo on whatsapp and wished her a mother’s day.I hope i made her day special.
