Imagine you have a rotating disk, like a CD. You are given two colors of paint, black and white. A sensor fixed to a point near the disk’s margin can detect the color of paint underneath it and produce an output. How do you paint the disk so that you can tell the direction it’s spinning just by looking at the sensor’s readings?

Answer:

W means white and B means black

Step-by-step explanation:

so first divide the disk in 8 section then

colour 4 consecutive section white

paint the next section black

paint the next section white

and paint the last 2 section black

pattern will be like this

WWWWBWBB

After 4 white if you get 1 black then 1 white disk is moving in clockwise (depends how you painted)

or

After 4 white if you get 2 black the disk is moving anti - clockwise (depends how you painted)

I am not fully sure but I think this as correct and logical

correct me if i am wrong

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two integers n and m, where n represent some paintings numbered from 1 to n and m represent some colours 1 to m with unlimited amount. The task is to find the number of ways to paint the paintings such that no two consecutive paintings have the same colors.
