A science exhibition was held on the 10rd of Dec. 2020 wherein students showcased static and working models which can be used for learning various scientific concepts for children of the age group 13-18 years. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research-mindedness but also creating teaching aids. It involves students to participate in activities so as to understand the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the task. Furthering this philosophy School of Education organized a science exhibition on the 10rd of Dec. 2020 where students showcased their talents on creativity and innovation. The Science Exhibition is held as part of the National Science Day celebration carried out at School of Education.
Student-teachers from the Science group across all the programmes of School of Education participated in this activity and made models which are used as teaching aids during their school internship programme later. They had chosen topics from NCERT Science books from Standard Six till Standard Twelve. A teaching aid is a very effective tool to make the classroom experience of the student very real and meaningful.
Students had made still models, working models, charts and posters to present their topics. Dr Priyanka Banerjee took the initiative of encouraging the students to put up such a wonderful and enlightening exhibition. The judges appreciated the students. They asked students about the scientific concepts forming the foundation of the models. Students had prepared models like water holding capacity of soil, working of a wind mill, jet car was showcased along with the DC Motor based models. Charts based on evolution of humans and biodiversity were presented well. The water dispenser model was a very unique one. Students were encouraged to develop a scientific fervor and an attitude of research mindedness so that they develop the qualities of analytical and critical thinking.

15th of January, 2020 (xyz School): Our school organized a science exhibition on the 15th of January, 2020. The exhibition was for three days and had many students and teachers taking participation in it and collaborated hand in hand to make the exhibition successful.
The science fair exhibition was named "Progress of India''. It was open to students from other schools as well as their parents. The others schools were given invitation passes to visit.
The event started in the morning at 11 am and continued till 5 pm. The judging panel for the three days was different. They had to judge the participants that put up their displays and give awards to them.
On the 15th of January, 2020 the event was inaugurated by (The Director of the School). The exhibition started with the Principal giving a warm welcome speech and requesting the Director to assist him in lighting the lamp.
The students of class 9th did an opening dance to begin the event post which the students set up their tables. The judges were accompanied by the students from classes 11 and 12 and explained all the details of the event.
The judges went to each table and meticulously marked them according to their setup.
The announcement of winners was announced the next day after all the judges had submitted their scores.
Class 9th came third, they had made charts explaining the Solar power tree in villages.
Class 10 achieved the second position and class 11th won the first prize. Class 11th made an apparatus showing how music affects plant growth.
The Science exhibition was a success and all the participants got a medal with a certificate.
