Come March, and it is time for Kids holiday season and so is the time for them to go on a vacation. This time we did an early vacation as my daughter school had closed and my wife's friend and her family had already planned for a vacation at Nagarahole. They had booked Jungle Inn restore and informed us that we are all going there on March 25, 26 and 27. Though it was a surprise, but thought it would be the best time to go as not many schools had closed.
We started our journey to Nagarahole on 25th Morning at 6 am and being a long weekend got into bumper to bumper traffic on Mysore road. We reach Kamat on mysore road around 09:30 AM. We had breakfast and started around 10:00 AM and reached Jungle Inn at 2:00 PM.
The roads are good, but then from Mysore, you need to take the Hunsur road which is single lane and lot of traffic. From Hunsur, it is around 15 KM.
We had two rooms booked and since this was a last minute planned vacation and coming towards Kabini or Nagarahole, we never thought that accommodation would be nice if it is not 4 or 5 Start rated hotel or resort. Jungle Inn is really surprised us. Rooms are pretty spacious and well maintained. You cannot say it is an 18 year old property.
They do not have room services. You need to go to the restaurant and order there itself.
A very nice place just about a kilometre from Nagarahole forest.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
You have Shuttle Badminton, carroms, cycles which you can ride.
Regarding the rooms, it is very spacious. We had fans in our room and still felt bit cold and I am talking about March end. Good ventilation.
Food is ok not bad.
For the kind of price they are offering, I guess it is worth grabbing it.
