The Editor,

Subject - Regarding illegal sand mining.

Sir,

My area of residence is a town full of natural beauty. Here used to flow a clean river which is near to dying conditions at present. The reason is illegal sand mining practised by a gang.

The problem has not only degraded the beauty of our town but also has impacted water availability to the resident households. In addition to this, environmental hazards too are prominent. Dying of river and soil erosion are a few of them.

Due to mentioned reasons, I wish to aware the higher authorities and the general public about the problem, to take the required action as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Yours truly,

Sneha.
